BONDI’S heating up for summer and its famous lifeguards are no exception — flexing, surfing and pouting for a 2016 charity calendar.
Seven stars of the Bondi Rescue reality show took part in the shoot arranged by underwear brand Mojo Downunder, owned by Rose Bay plumber-turned-entrprenuer Adam Rakowski.
Rakowski has had 10,000 copies printed and will donate all sales to the Sydney Children’s Hospital Foundation and Westpac Rescue Helicopter Service.
Bondi boss, head lifeguard Bruce “Hoppo” Hopkins, is looking steely as Mr March and reveals in the short bio: “When under pressure I see everything in slow motion”.
Anthony “Harries” Carroll strides out of the waves as Mr January and Mr February, Max Ayshford, even breaks into a full Baywatch-style beach run for one shot.
“One time I beached the jet ski, came flying off and landed face first in the sand,” Ayshford admits in his bio.
Shot by renowned fashion photographer Graham Shearer, the calendar also includes on-screen favourites Dean “Deano” Gladstone, Anthony Glick, Jesse Polock, Trent “Singlets” Falson individually and in group shots.
The calendar is available from www.mojodownunder.com for $24.95.
