In response to the independent statutory review of liquor laws by Ian Callinan, the government announced a partial softening of its strict lockout regime, including a two-year trial of later 2am lockouts and 3.30am last drinks for CBD and Kings Cross venues that offer live entertainment.
An extension of takeaway and home delivery alcohol sales across NSW from 10pm to 11pm, has also been granted.
And, small bars in the CBD and Kings Cross have had their patron limit increased from 60 to 100, and an extension in hours.
