Peter Foudoulis guilty of major drug import plot

An eastern suburbs muscle man imported huge quantities of GBL, steroids and other drugs before supplying them from his Potts Point home.

A bulky Potts Point man has admitted to importing performance-enhancing drugs into Sydney.

Peter Foudoulis, 43, pleaded guilty in Central Local Court on Wednesday to two counts of importing a commercial quantity of GBL into Mascot in December 2019.

GBL is a border-controlled drug which is often taken to improve athletic and sexual performance.

Foudoulis also pleaded guilty to two counts of intentionally importing testosterone - a prohibited tier 1 good – into Mascot in December 2019 and March 2020.

A further charge of importing testosterone in April last year will be taken into account on sentence.

Foudoulis was arrested in May last year following a five-month investigation into a drug operation which ran out of his eastern suburbs home.

In court on Wednesday, he also pleaded guilty to supplying GBL at Potts Point on the day of his arrest, and admitted to supplying 27 grams of pseudoephedrine, a substance used in nasal decongestants which has stimulant effects in high doses.

Nineteen other charges were withdrawn and dismissed.Foudoulis will be committed for sentence in the Sydney District Court on April 23.

Police smash China to Sydney drug operation

Border Force officials and detectives from the state’s crack Organised Crime Squad have busted a man who imported significant quantities of drugs. 

A 42-year-old has been charged after a five-month investigation into the operation allegedly ran out of his Potts Point home was disrupted by a combination of law enforcement agencies Friday morning.

Police will allege in court Peter Foudoulis was behind the supply of drugs across Sydney after their investigations saw parcels intercepted from Asia.

The air cargo was found and tested by Australian Border Force officials in December 2019.

Following months of investigations, a raid by Kings Cross Police and Border Force officers at a Potts Point home saw $5000 cash, two phones, GBL and anabolic steroids seized.

Foudoulis was denied bail after his arrest at the scene and charged with 15 offences.

He was not brought up from the cells during his brief mention in Central Local Court and his matter was adjourned to June 24.

“Our joint investigations have been extremely effective in disrupting the activities of this man who was allegedly importing prohibited substances into NSW – and we’re not done yet,” Organised Crime Squad Commander Superintendent Martin Fileman.

“Investigations under Strike Force McDougal are continuing and together with Australian Border Force, we will continue targeting those that chose to put others’ lives at risk.”
