The ‘Ride with Pride’ mardi gras bus has already taken to the streets of Sydney and is in service now to travel through Darlinghurst, Potts Point, Surry Hills and Newtown on routes like the X39, 311 and 373.
It will also travel routes that take in Oxford and Flinders streets.
State Transit CEO Steffen Faurby said he was thrilled they could take part in the 2019 mardi gras celebrations with the ‘Ride with Pride’ bus.
“At State Transit we are passionate about diversity in the workplace and in the community,” he said.
“It’ll be hard to miss the rainbow bus, which is a unique way for us to show collective support for the local and international LGBTIQ community.
“This bus is in service now and will travel routes that take in Oxford and Flinders streets.
“Don’t miss your opportunity to ride the rainbow bus this mardi gras festival.”
Close to 80 NSW Transport employees will accompany the State Transit bus in Saturday night’s parade and Sydneysiders will be able to ride it until Saturday March 9.
The rainbow bus will operate through areas such as Darlinghurst, Potts Point, Surry Hills and Newtown on routes like the X39, 311 and 373.
