A Surry Hills man remains on bail after police allegedly discovered child pornography on a laptop during a raid of his home this month.
Guy Clifford Fitzpatrick was arrested when police searched his Devonshire St unit about 8.25am on November 1.
Police will allege in court officers found and seized several electronic devices during the raid, including a laptop which contained child abuse material.
The 50-year-old was arrested and taken to Surry Hills police station, where he was charged with one count of possession of child abuse material.
Fitzpatrick, who lists his occupation as a “former bartender” on social media, spent the night in custody after he was refused bail to appear at Parramatta Bail Court on November 2.
There Magistrate Peter Mizalski granted him release on conditional bail, requiring him to report daily to Surry Hills police station.
As part of his bail conditions Fitzpatrick is banned from accessing a computer.
The court heard there is a $1000 surety attached to his bail.
Fitzpatrick appeared in person at Downing Centre Local Court on Tuesday, where his matter was briefly mentioned and his bail continued.
He is yet to enter a plea.
The matter was adjourned to return to the same court on November 26.
