BBQ BY THE BRIDGE, MILSONS POINT
This free Australia Day party puts a multicultural twist on the classic Aussie BBQ.
Held on the lush lawns beneath the iconic Harbour Bridge, families can come and enjoy a feast of international cuisines as well as a host of performances by amazing local bands and DJs.
Bradfield Park boasts a scenic waterfront, which happens to be the best vantage point to watch the Harbour Parade and the 184th Australia Day Regatta, as well as the Salute to Australia at midday which will be received by the Governor of New South Wales on HMAS Canberra.
There are also plenty of activities to entertain the kids including clay animal creation, a jumping castle, face painting, circus activities and native wildlife displays.

184TH AUSTRALIA DAY REGATTA, LONGUEVILLE
Join Lane Cove 12ft Sailing Skiff Club as they sail into Australia Day for the 184th Australia Day Regatta.
The club will once again be taking part in the annual sailing event, running three sprint races, as well as fun sailing activities for Green Fleet newbies keen to give the sport a crack.
Bacon and egg rolls will be on the grill from 8.30am when sabot registration opens, and racing is due to begin at 10.45am.
If you don’t have a boat of your own and wish to participate in the ocean race, the Club has you covered; Club boats will be available for use on the day and can be requested when registering.
Getting into the Australia Day spirit, the Club will also be awarding prizes to the best dressed sailors.

AUSTRALIA DAY CITIZENSHIP CEREMONY, MOSMAN
Mosman Council is hosting a Citizenship Ceremony for new citizens at Mosman Drill Hall.
Capturing the spirit of what it means to be Australian, best-selling author Catherine Saxelby will make a rousing address.
Saxelby was selected as an Australia Day Ambassador for her achievements as a nutritionist, educating communities about healthy eating habits and wellness.
Formal proceedings will include the presentation of Mosman’s 2020 Citizen of the Year and Young Citizen of the Year, recognising significant contributions to the Mosman community.
The Lions Club of Mosman will be running a quintessential Aussie BBQ.

CITIZENSHIP CEREMONY AND POOL PARTY, WILLOUGHBY
Australia Day in Willoughby kicks off with official proceedings at The Concourse.
Join in the festivities as new citizens to Willoughby are welcomed by Mayor Gail Giles-Gidney and enjoy performances by the Willoughby Band and a local choir.

Following the end of the ceremony and a glorious free sausage sizzle, head on over to the Willoughby Leisure Centre just ten minutes away for some family fun.
The pool is hosting races with exciting prizes and the water will be filled to the brim with giant inflatables.

Celebrate Australia Day at Storey Park Oval, where live entertainment will light up the stage and get you groovin’.
The afternoon will feature four hours of special performances, including Bollywood and Chinese dances, bush folk music from family trio Highly Strung, and a special indigenous performance by David Barnett and Guringai Culture.
A special appearance will be made by the young people from Famous Performing Arts as well.
Kids activities will include a rock climbing wall and a mega water slide.
A number of food stalls will be set up, including wood-fried pizzas from Bellissama, burgers and chips from Normas Burger Bar, ice-cream and more.

A free community event for young and old, Australia Day Woy Woy features a great main stage line up.
Headlining the event is Live Baby Live: The INXS Tribute Show, who will take you back in time with their premier rendition of one of Australia’s most iconic bands.
Supporting acts include The Steve Edmnods Band, Mitch Gardner, Campervan Dancers and Gem & Lachie.
There will also be a procession of paper lanterns through the streets of Woy Woy, led by the Drumbala Drumming Group.
At 9pm the night sky will be alight with a spectacular fireworks display over Brisbane Water.

AMUSEMENT RIDES AND DUCKS FOR BUCKS, THE ENTRANCE
Celebrating all things Australian, Australia Day at the Entrance is a fun and free event.
Kids can splash around in the water park, enjoy amusement rides, or even take part in the ice cream eating competition.
The annual Ducks for Bucks race will also take place, whereby thousands of numbered rubber ducks will be tipped into The Entrance Channel, following a race route alongside the park. The first three ducks across the line will win a cash prize – first prize is $2,500.
An array of local musicians will perform, and headline act Ross Wilson will lead his set into an extravagant firework display over the water.

The biggest Sunday session of the year, the typically chilled Beery is set to go off this Australia Day.
Dubbed the ‘godfather of Beery’, DJ Mista Kay will hit the decks at the local hotspot, along with crowd favourite performers Jus Joe and Mr Bongolicious.

Penrith’s Australia Day celebration finds itself at a new venue this year – the Cables Wake Park. A favourite swim spot among locals, the aquatic playground is the perfect place to splash about with the family and escape the Summer heat.
Free entry to the inflatable Aqua Park is on offer for kids over the age of six between 10am and 5pm, but pre-registration is essential and can be completed via their website.
There’s also a splash pad, water slides and jumping castle for little kids under six to enjoy throughout the day.

The second annual survival day festival hosted by Link-Up (NSW) Aboriginal Corporation is all about inclusivity and celebrating culture.
The deadly line-up includes five-time ARIA award winner and Member of the Order of Australia, Archie Roach, acclaimed soul singer Emma Donavan, and electro-tribal-pop duo, The Merindas.
Djriba Waagura will also be joining the festival for some amazing cultural performances and Reptiles Up Close is running wildlife sessions from 5pm to 7pm.

A two-day festival of live music and entertainment will raise funds for the Kurranulla Aboriginal Corporation, a not-for-profit organisation which strives to develop closer ties between Aboriginal and non Aboriginal people and promotes Aboriginal culture.
Sunday’s entertainment will begin at 1pm with the Kirrawee High Jazz Orchestra. Other performers include Kim Sheehy from The Voice, the Engadine and Miranda Musical Societies, the Royal Australian Navy Band, Caravana Sun, Busby Marou and I’m A Celebrity … Get Me Out Of Here! winner Casey Donovan.

The Iron Person Classic is an Australia Day stable at North Cronulla SLSC, with events for Under 9’s through to Under 15’s. There will be prizes for boys and girls for each age division.

The U11 and U12 events include a 300m swim, a 100m run, 420m board, and a final 200m run.

Join Redfern Now and Home And Away actor Luke Carroll at the WugulOra Morning Ceremony, acknowledging Australia’s shared history and the resilience of the world’s oldest living culture.
There will be a special performance by 2016 X Factor winner and 2017 Eurovision finalist Isaiah Firebrace, as well as dances by the Koomurri Performance Troupe who have recently returned from touring Austria, Hungary, Malta and Cyprus.
The national anthem will also be sung in both English and Eora, the local Aboriginal language, and a traditional smoking ceremony will cleanse the way for new beginnings.

Celebrating the Aussie spirit, Australia Day Live is a special concert on land and sea, taking place at the Sydney Opera House Forecort and Circular Quay.
Featuring a stellar line-up of live musical performances, the concert will be choreographed to a flotilla of yachts, jetskis and fly boarders, with a synchronised pyrotechnics display on the harbour.
Taking the stage will be Aussie icons Vanessa Amoroi, John Williamson, The Original Seekers, Isaiah Firebrace, rockers Eskimo Joe, indigenous vocal group Kari and singing sensation Christine Anu.
Creating an atmosphere of togetherness and mateship, the artists will be joined by the Sydney Symphony Orchestra to perform unifying songs such as ‘I Am Australian’.

YABUN, CAMPERDOWN
Yabun is the largest one day gathering and recognition of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures in Australia, and is held on the traditional lands of the Gadigal people in Victoria Park.
Honouring the survival of the world’s oldest continuing culture, the festival includes a stalls market, which will feature indigenous themed items including clothing, jewellery, arts and crafts.
There will also be performances by several indigenous artists, including up-and-coming Gamilaroi hip-hop singer Kobi Dee.
A march will start at Hyde Park at 11am and will finish at the festival site, which is best accessed at the corner of City Road and Parramatta Road, across the street from the Lansdowne Hotel.

Randwick City Council will be celebrating our national day at Maroubra Beach.
There will be free surf lesson sessions from 8.30am – 9.30am and 10.30am – 11.30am, as well as beach cricket, tarp surfing, amusements, free ice cream, and a BBQ on the beach.
Randwick Council is also providing multiple opportunities for residents to contribute to fundraising efforts in support of bushfire recovery. South Maroubra Surf Life Saving Club will host a BBQ at the club with funds raised to go towards the devastated south coast Lifesaving community.

An Aussie rock concert will take place at North Ryde Common, with a great line-up of entertainment including former X Factor contestants Audio Vixen as well as a Battle of the Bands competition, judged by Isabella Manfredi from the Preatures and Stefan Du Randt from Studios 301.
Headlining the concert is rock band and five-time ARIA award nominee Thirsty Merc, best known for their single ‘In the Summertime’, the theme song of Channel 10’s Bondi Rescue. Thirsty Merc’s set will begin at 8pm.

Q Station is gearing up for an action-packed Australia Day at Quarantine Beach.
