A Central Coast man caught with 19 bags of cocaine on his way to a local brothel was back in trouble two months later, caught by police driving outside curfew with drugs in his underpants.

Zak Adam Merrell-Rose, 24, of Blue Haven, pleaded guilty in Wyong Local Court to multiple drug supply charges.

According to police facts, at 11.30pm on April 13, Merrell-Rose was driving along Wilfred Barret Dr, Magenta with a friend.

Officers who were following him believed he was acting suspiciously, as he was constantly checking his rear-view mirror and moving around inside the vehicle.

When police stopped him for a breath test, Merrell-Rose told them he was on his way to a local brothel.

“Police engaged in conversation with the accused and noted him to be nervous and shaking uncontrollably,” court documents state.

A search of the car uncovered two mobile phones with recent messages consistent with the purchase and supply of prohibited drugs.

Officers found a number of bags of cocaine in Merrell-Rose’s possession.

Officers also located a shoulder bag belonging to Merrell-Rose, which contained 19 small bags of cocaine with a total weight of 19.07 grams.

Merrell-Rose told police: “I have a problem. It’s coke. There’s about 10 bags in there. I was intending to snort them”.

Two months later on June 14, Merrell-Rose was driving in Charmhaven when police noticed the vehicle, which was owned by a known member of the Lone Wolf Outlaw Motorcycle Gang.

They pulled him over and found him again to be nervous and shaking, with dilated pupils, a dry mouth and tension in his jaw.

Merrell-Rose was taken to the Wyong Police Station.

Court documents state Merrell-Rose was on bail at the time and in breach of his 8am to 6pm curfew, which had been imposed over previous cocaine supply charges.

A search of his person uncovered 14 small bags of cocaine weighing a total of 13 grams hidden in a medium resealable bag in his underpants.

Police also found $640 in cash in his wallet, which they say was from the sale of drugs.

Merrell-Rose will be sentenced at a later date.
