A social night out in Woy Woy turned into a nightmare in the early hours of Australia Day when a man was stabbed in the abdomen.

A man has been charged over a stabbing at Woy Woy after a fight broke out in the early hours of Australia Day on Sunday.
A group of people were socialising on the corner of The Boulevarde and Brick Wharf Road when a fight broke out between two men aged 33 and 35.
Police allege the fight continued as the group moved down Brick Wharf Road, towards North Burge Road, where the 33-year-old man suffered a serious stab wound to the abdomen.
An ambulance was called to a house in North Burge Road just after midnight following reports of the stabbing.
Officers from Brisbane Water Police District found a 33-year-old with serious injuries. He was treated at the scene by NSW Ambulance before being taken to Gosford Hospital in a critical condition.
The 35-year-old man was also treated at the scene for injuries to his hand and face before he was also taken to Gosford Hospital.
Once he was released, the 35-year-old was taken to Gosford Police Station where he was charged with wound with intent to cause grievous bodily harm.
He was refused bail and appeared at Wyong Local Court on Sunday.
The 33-year-old remains in a stable condition in hospital.
