Gosford and Woy Woy have made Uber Eats history today, with the launch of the popular restaurant meal app.
The coast suburbs are the first in Australia to launch Uber Eats with both pick-up and delivery options.
It’s been a long time coming, with Gosford and Woy Woy chosen as the first Central Coast locations due to their booming dining scene.
Uber Eats gives residents access to a huge range of restaurant meals and delivers right to the door.
“Uber Eats is turning on the app’s new ‘pick up’ feature in Gosford and Woy Woy at the exact same time as the delivery option, giving the Central Coast more choice when it comes to getting their hands on fast, delicious food and drinks,” Uber Eats head of New Zealand and regional Australia Elisa Janiec said.
“You can now get your morning coffee, prepped and paid and ready to collect using the same Uber Eats app that you use to order your favourite dinner delivered fresh to your door from your favourite restaurant in an average of under 30 minutes across Australia.”
Ms Janiec said Woy Woy and Gosford were the 21st and 22nd cities to come online on the Uber Eats app in Australia.
Some of the restaurants in the Gosford region include New York Pizza Bar & Grill, Eat Street Cafe, Remy & Co, Pinocchio’s and Vishal’s Indian.
While Woy Woy’s Saigon Garden, Spice 29 Goan Indian Restaurant, Soulfood Cafe, Booker Bay Cafe and BMX Burgers will also be using Uber Eats.
The delivery radius in Gosford extends to Niagara Park, West Gosford, Erina and Point Frederick, while the Woy Woy radius incorporates Umina Beach, Ettalong Beach, Booker Bay and Blackwall.
“The Central Coast culinary heavyweights join more than 20-thousand restaurants already on the Uber Eats platform across Australia, underlining Uber’s status as the operating system for everyday life,” Ms Janiec said.
“To celebrate us saying ahoy-hoy to Woy Woy and to coincide with our arrival on the NSW Central Coast we are offering locals a chance to get $15 off their first order using the code #GOSWOYEATS.”
