Toronto: A man, 27, wanted over an alleged crime spree arrested after ‘argument’
A man wanted over an alleged crime spree from Newcastle to Gosford since May was arrested after police were called to a group of men arguing in the street.

A man wanted on an outstanding warrant has been charged with 25 offences after he was arrested following reports of a group of males arguing in the street.
Just before 1am on Sunday, September 27, officers from Lake Macquarie Police’s Proactive Crime Team were called to Jarrett St, at Kilaben Bay just south of Toronto on Lake Macquarie, after reports of men arguing.
A man, 27, who checks revealed was wanted on an outstanding revocation of parole warrant, was arrested at the scene and taken to Toronto Police Station.
He was charged with 25 offences including five counts of fraud, seven counts of driving a stolen car, three counts of driving while disqualified, two counts of failing to stop during a police pursuit and having goods in custody suspected being stolen.
He was also charged with using an offensive weapon to prevent detention, not give particulars to other driver, possessing a knife in public, larceny and two counts of shoplifting.
Police will allege in court that the offences were committed across the Lake Macquarie, Tuggerah Lakes, Brisbane Water and Newcastle City Police Districts since May 2020.
The man was refused bail to appear before Newcastle Bail Court on Sunday.
