The Entrance: man attacked with sledgehammer during terrifying home invasion

A young man was bludgeoned with a sledgehammer during a terrifying home invasion at The Entrance.
Police have issued a public appeal for information to track down three men wanted in relation to the ordeal.
About 8.40pm on Saturday, October 19, a 31-year-old woman and a 23-year-old man were inside a unit in The Entrance, when three unknown men approached the front door, asking for a male called “Shane”.
Two of the men then forced entry to the home, while the third man remained outside.
The young male occupant of the unit was assaulted with a sledge hammer and sustained serious injuries. The woman was not injured.
Tuggerah Lakes police arrived a short time later and established a crime scene.
Police are now appealing for public assistance to locate the three men responsible for the attack.
The first male was described as being of caucasian appearance, aged between 22-26, between 175-180cm tall, with a solid build, rounded cheeks and a dark unkept short beard.
The second male was described as being of caucasian appearance, aged between 22-25, between 180-185cm tall, with a skinny build, and light brown shoulder length hair.
The third man was described as being of caucasian appearance, aged in his 50s, with a solid build and short dark greying hair, and a crooked nose.
