One left an anonymous threatening voicemail, causing the other to go to police saying“intimidation”.

For the first time, the full details of a bitter feud between two leading Central Coast real estate agents can be revealed.

Trevor James Hamilton, 50, was found guilty of intimidation at Wyong Local Court on Wednesday when he was put on a conditional release order for 18 months but without a conviction.

His victim has been revealed in court documents as DiJones Terrigal regional manager Craig Fisher, who had previously accused Hamilton of “professional misconduct” and reported him to NSW Fair Trading.

On Wednesday Hamilton’s solicitor David Kelly said the complaint stemmed from an incident in October 2023 when Fisher had an exclusive agency agreement to list a property.

Mr Kelly said when that agreement expired Hamilton became involved in selling the property igniting “animosity” between the pair.

Mr Kelly said NSW Fair Trading found Hamilton had not filed a particular form but otherwise had done “nothing untoward”.

“Following that my client started receiving calls from people he had sold houses to, or had dealings with, indicating the victim had been bad mouthing him in the community,” Mr Kelly said.

“Unfortunately my client has dealt with that issue by leaving that message on his phone.

An agreed set of facts states at 6.02pm on February 6 Fisher got a call from a private number but he was busy and let it go to voicemail.

“A short time later the victim listened to the voicemail,” the facts state.

“The voicemail stated ‘watch your back c--t’. This immediately intimidated the victim who instantly recognised the voice as belonging to the accused.”

Instead of calling Hamilton, who the facts states Fisher had known through the industry for 15 years, to discuss their grievances like grown men, he rang Telstra “enquiring into the possibility of a call trace”.

“However when that was unsuccessful the victim reported the matter to The Entrance Police station,” the facts state.

Police obtained reverse call records and found the private call came from Hamilton’s phone.

They contacted Hamilton but he declined to be interviewed and told officers he “didn’t know what police were talking about”.

He was later charged and pleaded guilty.

This masthead approached both men for comment but neither returned calls.

According to DiJones’ website Fisher “loves nothing more than engaging in real conversations and creating genuine connections while doing what he loves: real estate”.

Meanwhile Hamilton appears to be winning the head-to-head battle, according to realestate.com.au data, having cleared 43 properties as lead agent in the past 12 months and 21 as secondary agent with a median sale price of $1.74m.

Fisher on the other hand has sold 10 properties as lead agent and 12 as secondary agent, in the same period, with a median sale price of $889,000.
