A man has faced court charged with allegedly filming a woman without consent in the toilet of a Central Coast McDonald’s.
Takudzwa Andrew Mandigora, of Hamlyn Terrace, did not apply for bail when he appeared briefly at Wyong Local Court on Friday, May 23, where he is facing seven charges including four counts of peep or prying, intentionally recording an intimate image without consent, failing to comply with a digital evidence direction to unlock a phone and possessing a prohibited drug.
It comes after Tuggerah Lakes Police launched an investigation following reports a man allegedly filmed a woman without consent in the bathroom of Lake Haven McDonald’s last week.
Following extensive inquiries detectives attended Mandigora’s Satinash Drive home about 4.30pm on Thursday.
Police carried out a search of the home where officers located and seized clothing, 2g of cannabis and electronics, which will undergo further examination.
Officers arrested Mandigora and charge sheets allege they asked him to provide a PIN code to unlock a phone, which he declined.
He was arrested and taken to Wyong Police Station where he was charged and refused bail to face court on Friday.
Charge sheets further allege Mandigora filmed a woman in the bathroom of McDonald’s some time between 5pm and 6pm on Wednesday, May 14.
