A MAN will face court today after tactical police raided a house at East Gosford yesterday and seized three firearms — including two sawn off double-barrel shotguns — drugs and a stolen police baton.
Earlier this year, detectives from the State Crime Command’s Drug and Firearms Squad established Strike Force Gillen to investigate the supply of prohibited drugs in the Central Coast area.
Following extensive inquiries, strike force detectives assisted by the Tactical Operations Unit, raided a home on Victoria St at East Gosford just after 7am yesterday.
During the search, police located and seized three firearms, including a .22 calibre bolt-action rifle and two shortened double-barrel shotguns, a stolen police baton, ice, cocaine, cannabis, steroids, scales, more than $5000 cash, mobile phones, and documentation.
The firearms will be examined by specialist forensic and ballistics officers.
A 27-year-old man was arrested at the home and taken to Gosford Police Station.
The man was charged with large commercial drug supply, commercial drug supply, two counts of drug supply, and knowingly direct activities of criminal group.
He has been refused bail to appear at Gosford Local Court later today.
Inquiries are continuing.
