Summerland Point road-rage: Police seek witnesses

If you were in Summerland Point last week and saw an altercation between the drivers of a Blue Mazda CX5 and a Black Volkswagen, the police would like to speak to you.

Police have appealed for witnesses to come forward after a road-rage incident last week at Summerland Point.

About 2.30pm on Wednesday (June 12) Tuggerah Lakes Police officers were called to Cams Boulevard, Summerland Point, following reports of an assault.

Officers collected information from witnesses and the people allegedly involved.

No one was seriously injured as a result of the incident.

Police allege that about 2pm a verbal argument occurred between a driver of a Blue Mazda CX5 and a driver of a Black Volkswagen at the Pacific Highway, Lake Munmorah just passed the Elizabeth Bay Drive intersection.

They allege the verbal exchange continued along Kanangra Drive and Summerland Road before both cars parked on Cams Boulevard.

Police have asked if any members of the public have dashcam or CCTV footage or may have witnessed the incident, to contact Tuggerah Lakes Police on 4356- 6099 or Crime Stoppers 1800 333 000.
