Search continues for fallen rock fisherman at Timber Beach
A search for a rock fisherman who fell from rocks at Timber Beach in Munmorah State Conservation Area has resumed this morning. The notorious stretch of coast has claimed at least 16 lives.
A search for a rock fisherman who fell from rocks at Timber Beach in the Munmorah State Conservation Area has resumed this morning.
Emergency service were called to the site about 10.30am on Sunday where the man had been fishing with friends.
Police were told the 60-year-old man fell off the rocks. It is believed he was wearing a life jacket at the time.

A multi-agency search operation took place, involving officers from Tuggerah Lakes Police District, Marine Area Command, Police Divers, PolAir, Police Rescue, Surf Life Saving NSW and the Westpac Lifesaver Rescue Helicopter.
Despite an extensive search of the water and surrounding land, the man was not located and the search was suspended at 5.30pm yesterday.
Timber Beach is just north of notorious Snapper Point. Sixteen people have drowned in the area in more than a decade.
