Point Frederick: Man charged over allegedly importing 1.6kg of ice via post
A postal package intercepted by Australian Border Force in Western Australia has led to the arrest of a Point Frederick man.

A Point Frederick man has been charged after allegedly attempting to import a large amount of methylamphetamine via the post.
Officers arrested the 41-year-old man at a unit on Albany St, Point Frederick, about 9.30am on Thursday.
Last month, detectives from the Brisbane Water Police District Drug Unit established Strike Force Bocci to investigate the attempted importation of approximately 1.6kg of methylamphetamine oil contained within cosmetic bottles through a postal service.
The strike force was launched after a package was intercepted by Australian Border Force officers in Western Australia.
A search warrant was carried out at the man’s home in Point Frederick where police allegedly found and seized mobile phones, laptops and several unidentified clear liquids.
The man was taken to Woy Woy Police Station and charged with import commercial quantity of border-controlled drug and supply large commercial quantity of prohibited drug.
He appeared at Newcastle Local Court on Thursday where bail was refused. He will appear in Gosford Local Court on August 7.
