A Central Coast man has been found guilty of supplying cocaine and cannabis, as well as dealing with more than $60,000 in proceeds of crime.

Michael Blodorn, of Narara, faced Gosford Local Court on Friday after pleading not guilty to seven offences including three counts of supplying drugs, two counts of dealing with proceeds of crime and one count of possessing a taser.

The 40-year-old had previously pleaded guilty to one count of possessing an extendible baton and two counts of supplying small quantities of cocaine.

Blodorn faced a one-day hearing in September before Magistrate Elizabeth Ellis found him guilty of five of the remaining seven charges on Friday.

The court heard Blodorn was identified by officers from the State Crime Command’s Drug and Firearms Squad who began covert surveillance on him in early 2022.

He was stopped on March 1, 2022, at Lisarow in possession of 27.98g of cocaine before he was stopped a month later at Wyoming after supplying another man 4.5g of cocaine and had a further 0.5g on him, along with $7390 cash.

The court heard police conducted a search of his house where they found a taser in the third drawer of his kitchen, an extendible baton, anabolic steroids and $53,840 in cash — including three $10,000 bundles hidden in a rubbish bin.

Several bags of cannabis were found secreted around the house, which had a combined weight of 705g and a further 170.14g of cocaine was found in a vacuum-sealed bag behind the ashtray of a car.

Several of the items had his DNA and fingerprints on them.

At his hearing in September, his lawyer argued other people came and went at the house and there was no way to categorically rule out the possibility the items belonged to someone else.

Magistrate Ellis found Blodorn not guilty of possessing the taser and steroids because she agreed the evidence was not irrefutable.

However, she said there was no other reasonable explanation for the rest of the cash and drugs seized by police given the overwhelming case against him.

Upon the magistrate’s findings of guilt, the police prosecutor made a detention application to revoke Blodorn’s bail.

The prosecutor said Blodorn’s drug supply was clearly a “commercial enterprise” which took the State Crime Command significant resources to uncover and was “very difficult to detect”.

“There is a strong need for deterrence,” the prosecutor said.

Blodorn was represented by an agent acting on behalf of his solicitor Ahmed Dib, who applied for an adjournment because they had not been put on notice about the detention application.

However, Ms Ellis said Blodorn’s legal defence had plenty of notice that jail loomed large given the “seriousness of the charges”.

She revoked Blodorn’s bail and adjourned him to November 28 for sentence.
