If you think you’ve had a bad week, spare a thought for the owners of this Erina property who have quite a problem on their hands.

The Central Coast Express Advocate was sent pictures of two earth moving vehicles sunk in mud well beyond their axles and went down to investigate.

The partially completed building site was deserted, but there were plenty of signs of the muddy horror which must have given operators a sinking feeling of the worst kind.

Neighbours, who did not want to be named, said a renovation had been going on at 63 Barralong Road for some months.

They said the site was very boggy excavations kept filling up with water.

They said a smaller piece of machinery had bogged first and a larger piece had been brought in to dig it out.

They said the rescue vehicle then also became bogged.
