After months of speculation, the Express Advocate can reveal who will take on Emma McBride for the seat of Dobell at the federal election.
Wamberal’s Jilly Pilon will run as the Liberal candidate for Dobell in the upcoming federal election.
The Express Advocate understands the Central Coast councillor will be announced as the Liberal candidate to run against sitting Dobell federal Labor MP Emma McBride, putting an end to months of speculation.
Mrs Pilon has been a strong advocate for organ donation and road safety across the Central Coast, following the tragic death of her 10-year-old son Banjo in 2015 in a skateboarding accident.
She was the Liberal candidate for the Gosford by-election in 2017, however lost to Gosford state Labor MP Liesl Tesch.
Last September, she was voted onto the first Central Coast Council and represents The Entrance Ward.
Her eldest son Fletcher is a well known singer/musician who won Australia’s Got Talent in 2016.
The Express Advocate have contacted Mrs Pilon for comment.
