Anyone who may have seen anything suspicious in the area around that time or who may have CCTV or dashcam footage is urged to contact Wyong Police Station on 4356 6099.

It comes after reports of a man setting grass on fire at a property on Coachwood Drive at Matcham earlier today.

The fire was briefly listed on the RFS `Fires Near Me’ app as being out-of-control however the incident has since been deleted from the interactive map.

Police are also continuing to investigate a deliberately lit fire which tore through 400ha of bush at Charmhaven on New Year’s Eve.

Police have identified a number of “persons of interest” but charges have not yet been laid.
