Detectives have released an image of a man they wish to speak to as they investigate an armed robbery where a woman was injured at a Central Coast bottle shop earlier this week.

Shortly before 9pm on Monday, February 7, a 39-year-old female employee was preparing to close the store on Wyong Rd at Killarney Vale, when a man entered.

The man then threatened the woman with a knife and demanded cash and alcohol.

As the man attempted to leave the store, a physical altercation occurred, before the woman was wounded in the upper arm and stomach.

The man smashed several bottles of spirits during the altercation before fleeing the store on foot towards Hume Boulevard.

Tuggerah Lakes Police attended a short time later and established a crime scene.

The woman was treated at the scene by NSW Ambulance paramedics for non-life threatening lacerations.

As investigations continue, detectives have released a CCTV image of a man who may be able to assist with their inquiries.

He is described as being of thin build, wearing a black short sleeved shirt, black pants, black shoes and had his face covered.

Anyone who may be able to assist investigators is urged to contact Wyong Police or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
