Dramatic footage has emerged of the moment a car burst into flames behind shops at Killarney Vale.
Emergency services were called shortly after 2.15pm on Wednesday to a small car park behind shops along Wyong Rd near the Coles supermarket.
Witness Jordan Hyslop said it all happened so quickly.
“No one seems to know who owns the car,” he told the Express Advocate.
“It just burst into flames. And exploded.”
Firefighters were able to spray the vehicle with foam and prevent the blaze from spreading to an adjoining building.
The car appears from the footage to be a late model Hyundai Kona or similar small SUV.
Police were notified and the cause of the fire is being investigated.
It comes as the Central Coast will be among six regions across NSW that will be subject to a total fire ban tomorrow.
