Woy Woy’s Jacob Kolln is not only a great drawer but also has a gigantic heart.
The 6-year-old has started selling his drawings to raise money for farmers doing it tough along with local firefighters.
It all started a few weeks ago when Jacob thought it would be fun to set up a stall at the front of his house and sell his drawings.
He sold a few to family and friends who dropped by and, after a successful day, decided to do it again but this time raise money for firefighter and farmers.
“I want to help the farmers because they have no food and water. They need help,” Jacob told the Express.
Two weeks ago, he was back out the front with his drawings however this time his mum Kristy Kolln popped a notice on a few community pages on Facebook.
“We had so many people come,” Mrs Kolln said.
“Even now I am getting orders though social media. One woman is paying $50 for a drawing. It’s just been amazing.”
Jacob has raised more than $300 from the sale of his drawings and the orders are not stopping.
Last week he spent $100 on food supplies for firefighters and took them to the Central Coast Fire Control Centre in Kariong.
His next aim is to take food and water to struggling farmers in and around Dubbo.
Jacob said he loved to draw sea turtles and parrots and follows instructions from YouTube clips. His drawings have become so popular his parents have started a Facebook page Art Work by Jakey.
