The funeral, held at Greenway Chapel, was packed to standing-room-only, with an overflow of mourners gathered outside.

Described as a “true sports champion” who enjoyed a range of hobbies including snorkelling, freediving and Ironman competitions, Ms Griffin was widely admired for her strong work ethic.

Throughout the service, many family and friends spoke, with one cousin describing Ms Griffin as someone who will always be “loved and admired”.

Mourners also heard how Ms Griffin was academically gifted, studying at UTS while completing various internships.

“Audrey, thank you for being my best friend. I hope we’re best friends in the next life too, and in every universe before and after this one.”

Charlotte, a university friend, said she clicked instantly with Ms Griffin.

“I’ll always think of Audrey as the most free-spirited person I knew. Light radiated from within her, and she spread that light into other people’s lives through her joy, laughter and utter sense of unseriousness.”

Lacey, another close friend, said Ms Griffin had a way of making even the brightest days a little brighter.
