Fatal Friday 13th: Two dead, three injured in separate crashes at Forresters Beach, Empire Bay and West Gosford

Two people are dead and three are seriously injured after a horror four hours on Central Coast roads. Police are now appealing for your help. Here’s what we know.

A man, 53, and a woman, aged in her 20s, have died while an elderly man, 76, is fighting for life in hospital after a horror Friday the 13th on local roads.

Police are appealing for anyone with information, CCTV or dashcam footage of three separate crashes on Friday night within about four hours.

FORRESTERS BEACH

About 6.45pm yesterday, emergency services were called to The Entrance Rd, Forresters Beach, following reports of a two-vehicle collision.

Brisbane Water Police attended and were told two vehicles travelling in the opposite direction collided head on.

The driver of the sedan, a 53-year-old man, died at the scene. He is yet to be formally identified.

The driver of the utility vehicle, a 30-year-old man, and his passenger, a 29-year-old woman, were treated by NSW Ambulance paramedics at the scene and taken to hospital in stable conditions.

A crime scene was established and investigation into the circumstances surrounding the crash has commenced.

Local diversions were put in place.

EMPIRE BAY

About 8.30pm emergency services were called to Empire Bay Rd reports of another two-vehicle, head-on collision.

Brisbane Water Police attended and found the driver of one vehicle, a woman believed to be in her 20s, died at the scene. She is yet to be formally identified.

The second vehicle left the roadway and was located down an embankment.

The driver, a woman believed to be in her 30s, was trapped for a short time before being release by Fire & Rescue NSW.

She was treated by NSW Ambulance paramedics at the scene before being taken to hospital in a serious condition.

A crime scene was established and investigation into the circumstances surrounding the crash has commenced.

WEST GOSFORD

About 10.30pm, emergency services were called to Central Coast highway, about 40m east of Racecourse Rd following reports of a nose-to-tail collision involving four cars.

A 76-year-old male driver was treated by NSW Ambulance paramedics at the scene before being flown to hospital in a serious condition.

A female driver, 40, was treated at the scene and taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The other two drivers were uninjured.

An investigation into the circumstances surrounding the crash has commenced.
