Charmhaven bushfire threatens homes in Mona, Arizona, Allinga and Hiawatha roads
Residents on the Central Coast have been told to seek shelter as southerly winds push the Charmhaven bushfire toward heavily populated Blue Haven. The fire is at emergency level.

Strong southerly winds have whipped up the Arizona Road bushfire near Charmhaven and is pushing it toward heavily populated Blue Haven.
After being downgraded to Watch and Act status briefly, the southerly arrived and the blaze was escalated to emergency again and Blue Haven residents warned to take shelter from the approaching fire.
NSW Rural Fire Service said water bombing aircraft, including a large air tanker, were working to protect properties.
The Fires Near Me app shows the fire has burned around the western flank of Blue Haven and crossed into bushland on the northern side of Doyalson Link Road.
At 9.15pm, the app also showed unranked fire in Birdwood Drive at Blue Haven.
The Charmahaven fire has burned out 185ha of bushland so far and is listed as out of control.
Earlier today video taken on the fireground showed the awful conditions facing firefighters as the fire threatened homes.
The Charmhaven fire was upgraded to emergency level and residents warned it is too late to leave.
The fire continues to burn near homes in the area of Mona, Arizona and Allinga Hiawatha roads, and fire crews are still battling to regain control.

Meanwhile other Central Coast region fires remain at Advice level including the 46,000ha Three Mile Fire west of Kulnura, and the Wisemans Ferry Road blaze at Gunderman, which is out of control.
The massive Gospers Mountain fire has burned out more than 500,000ha stretching from the Central Coast almost to Mudgee in the Central West of NSW and is currently at watch and act level.
Fireworks at The Entrance and Gosford have both been cancelled although other New Year activities at both locations will continue.
It’s been a horror day for fire fighters across NSW with a father and son killed in Cobargo on the South Coast.
It is believed the men were trying to protect property as the fire as it came through in the early hours of the morning.
Authorities are still trying to locate a third person west of Narooma, who was also defending property
