Wadalba: Truck driver Michael Roy Hoffman charged after fatal collision on Pacific Hwy
A 41-year-old truck driver has faced court after being charged over the death of a P-plate driver in a multi-vehicle crash on the Central Coast.

A man has been charged following a fatal multi-vehicle crash on the Central Coast last week.
About 4.20pm on Tuesday, emergency services responded to reports of a collision involving two cars and a truck on the Pacific Hwy, at Wadalba.
Tuggerah Lakes Police District officers established a crime scene that was examined by specialist police from the Crash Investigation Unit after a 17-year-old driver died at the scene.
A 46-year-old woman driving a Mazda was treated by NSW Ambulance paramedics before being taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
A 41-year-old male truck driver was treated at the scene before being taken to John Hunter Hospital for treatment and mandatory testing.
The truck driver was arrested on Friday after being released from hospital and taken to Newcastle Police Station where he was charged with one count of dangerous driving occasioning death.
The man — identified in court documents as Michael Roy Hoffman — was refused bail to appear at Newcastle Local Court on Saturday where he was granted conditional bail.
Conditions of the bail include that Mr Hoffman, of Woongarrah, reports to Toukley Police Station twice a week, not drink alcohol or take any drugs unless they are prescribed by a doctor and not occupy the driver’s seat of a motor vehicle.
It comes after police suspended his licence anyway.
Mr Hoffman was adjourned to face Wyong Local Court on October 4.
The family of the 17-year-old P-plater, meanwhile, have launched a GoFundMe page to raise money for his parents to help cover the costs of his funeral.
