Magistrate Kirralee Perry described the charges as “extremely serious allegations”, setting them down for trial at Gosford District Court.

The court heard Paulley’s bail security of $150,000 had been pledged by family members.

“Since his release on January 28 he has been compliant with no sign of offending or flight,” his lawyer stated.

Charge sheets tendered to the court allege that the incident occurred in Mardi in November 2021 with Galey-Newbury and Paulley having sexual intercourse with the victim without consent, in the company of each other.

It is alleged that Paulley hurt the victim by “placing her in a headlock” and holding her down, while also recording some of the alleged sexual acts.

The charge sheets allege that Paulley said “put your dick in her mouth” and Galey-Newbury allegedly forced the victim to perform oral sex on him.

It is also alleged that Paulley started to choke the victim during sex.

“I have to leave. Stop, get off me,” the victim allegedly said according to the charge sheets.

The men were arrested on December 16 2021 and are on bail under strict conditions.
