Busways school bus services cancelled on September 26
CENTRAL Coast parents will need to find alternative travel arrangements for their children next Wednesday as Busways cancel school services for the day.

BUSWAYS has cancelled school services next Wednesday, forcing thousands of Central Coast parents to find alternative arrangements.
Busways has announced they will be operating the Saturday timetable next Wednesday, September 26, which excludes school services.
“Unfortunately some drivers from the Transport Workers Union (TWU) in Western Sydney intend to stop work, taking protected industrial action over ongoing negotiations for a new enterprise agreement,” the company posted on its website today.
“The stop work action is scheduled for Wednesday, September 26 between 6am and 9am and between 3pm and 6pm. Busways services will operate to a Saturday timetable on Wednesday and there will be no school services operating.”
The industrial action includes drivers from the Gosford and Wyong depots.
“It is difficult to predict what impact the action will have on Wednesday’s services but we want to guarantee students’ safety above all else,” the company stated.
“Busways apologises for any inconvenience caused during these stoppages and appreciates the understanding of our customers as we attempt to resolve these issues with the TWU and its delegates.”
Bus travellers had to make other arrangements this morning when Busways drivers held a four hour stopwork meeting between 10am and 2pm.
According to the Transport Workers Union, Busways drivers have attempted to negotiate a new enterprise agreement since 2017, but have been unable to reach agreement.
