A man allegedly broke into a Budgewoi home to indecently assault a 12-year-old boy he had already allegedly raped on a previous occasion, according to court documents.
The man, of Scenic Drive, Buff Point, did not come up from the cells when his matter was mentioned briefly at Wyong Local Court on Thursday morning.
The 48-year-old did not apply for bail and it was formally refused.
He was arrested outside his home shortly after 8am on Wednesday following an investigation by detectives from the State Crime Command’s Child Abuse and Sex Crimes Squad.
During the investigation detectives were told that two girls and a boy had been sexually abused by him.
Shortly after his arrest, a search was conducted at the home, where detectives seized 70 items including mobile phones, cameras, computers, and other electronic devices.
The man was taken to Wyong Police Station and charged with 17 offences, including two counts of producing child pornography by allegedly taking photographs of two of the victim’s genitalia.
He was also charged with having sexual intercourse with a seven-year-old girl and a 12-year-old boy; eight counts of indecent assault of a person under 16 years; two counts of detaining a person with intent to obtain sexual gratification advantage; aggravated sexual assault of a child and two counts of breaking and entering.
Charge sheets tendered in court allege the man sexually and indecently assaulted two girls aged seven and nine at homes at Braidwood, east of Canberra and in Sydney’s north west between 2008 and 2009.
The charge sheets further allege he sexually and indecently assaulted a boy, 12, at homes at Buff Point and Budgewoi.
The police charge sheets allege the man broke in to a house on two occasions to commit an act of indecency on the boy, who he is also charged with having sexual intercourse with.
He was adjourned to face court again in January and investigations are continuing.
