Budgewoi: Man, 44, arrested after police seize hydroponic cannabis plants

A man has been arrested and is expected to be charged after police searched a property at Budgewoi and seized a number of hydroponically grown cannabis plants.

A man, 44, is assisting police with their inquires after a search of his home uncovered a hydroponic set up and half a dozen cannabis plants.

Police conducted the search at 9.50am on Tuesday at the house on Delia Ave where they located a number of mature and smaller cannabis plants.

The occupant of the house was arrested and taken to Wyong Police Station where he was assisting officers with their investigation.

A NSW police spokeswoman said he is expected to be charged with cultivating a prohibited plant and other drug offences.
