Officers obtained a search warrant and raided the property at 10.15am on June 30 seizing 174.31g of cannabis, $600 cash and 16 fireworks.

An agreed set of facts states police rang Williams who told them he was at work as a casual chef hand at Grill’d restaurant at Tuggerah and didn’t finish until 2pm.

After searching the house police arrested Williams at 2pm and took him to Wyong Police Station where an analysis of his phone “located numerous messages of coded and veiled language indicative of drug supply”.

“There were messages as recent as the date of arrest: `Hey bro all good if I grab a q off ya’ … `can I grab a half’,” the facts state.

Williams co-operated with police and participated in a recorded interview where he admitted the cannabis and fireworks found at his home were his.

“The accused also made full admissions to selling cannabis on a weekly basis to a small customer base of friends, earning about $300 to $00 a week and that the $600 cash was from the sale of cannabis,” the facts state.

The court heard Williams made about $400 a week from his causal chef had job and had about $410 in expenses including food, board, phone and transport.

Williams’ bail was continued and he was adjourned for sentence on November 9.
