Bateau Bay Square: Driver charged after woman killed when struck by bus
The driver of the bus that allegedly struck and killed a woman at a shopping centre in Bateau Bay has been charged.

The bus driver involved in the fatality of a woman at Bateau Bay has been charged with negligent driving.
About 9.30am on Friday, emergency services were called to Bay Village Rd following reports a female pedestrian had been struck by a bus travelling west.
NSW Ambulance treated the woman, aged 46, however she died at the scene.
The driver of the bus and his passengers were uninjured and he was taken to Gosford Hospital for mandatory testing.
Officers from Tuggerah Lakes Police District established a crime scene and the Crash Investigation Unit have been investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident.
Following his release from hospital, the 64-year-old driver man was arrested and taken to Gosford Police Station where he was charged with negligent driving occasioning death.
He was released on bail and will appear at Wyong Local Court on September 7.
A report will be prepared for the information of the coroner.
