Bar Point: missing man, 34, found dead after motorcycle crash

POLICE searching for a missing 34-year-old found him deceased after a motorcycle crash on the Old Pacific Highway at Bar Point.

The man set off from his address at Ryde for a ride on his Kawasaki Ninja along the Old Pacific about 2pm yesterday.

A police spokesman said when he failed to return by 11pm his worried partner raised the alarm.

Brisbane Water police commenced an investigation and a few hours later they discovered the man and his bike about 3.30am today.

The spokesman said it appeared the man was travelling south, which would indicate he was returning home, when he’s lost control gone down an embankment and struck a tree.

The police spokesman said it was unknown at this stage how long the man had been there.

A crime scene was established which was examined by forensic specialists.

A report will be prepared for the Coroner.
