A man charged with allegedly supplying cocaine in the northern part of the Central Coast had a 30.9g rock of “rack” hidden in his underpants, a court has heard.
Alejandro Martinez, 50, of Woongarrah, pleaded guilty to supplying and possessing a prohibited drug and resisting an officer in the execution of their duty at Wyong Local Court on Monday.
However, he is yet to enter any plea to a further 10 drug, firearm and dealing with the proceeds of crime offences.
An agreed set of police facts tendered in court state the boilermaker was subject to a firearms prohibition order in 2015.
About 11.45pm on November 21 last year Highway Patrol police were travelling along Sparks Rd when his blue Holden Commodore came up on their system as being subject to the order.
Police stopped him near the intersection of Minnesota Rd.
“The accused eye’s were watery and glassy and he was sweating profusely,” the facts read.
When officers started searching his shorts they saw a plastic bag protruding from his underwear.
The facts state he began to “thrust around and attempt to place his arm down his pants in a reaching motion”.
Police told him to stop resisting but he continued to move and flex his arms so police took him to the ground and arrested him.
Officers found a large pressed rock substance believed to be cocaine.
He said “It’s my perso (sic)” and “It’s rack”.
Asked how much he said there was “20 grams I have a party on Friday”.
Back at Wyong police station, officers found a further 0.3g of cocaine, $2475 in $50 dollar and $20 dollar denominations, an Apple iPhone and Bandidos outlaw motorcycle gang paraphernalia including colours/vest.
Martinez was also wearing a Bandidos belt.
He said he purchased the cocaine earlier for $5000 and he put in $2500 with four others putting in the rest.
He told police he was going to supply the other four unnamed persons with the cocaine to share at the party.
“The accused stated to police that he has had a cocaine habit for 15 years and that he would generally use on average 3g of cocaine each week, which makes up 9 lines,” the facts read.
Police seized a total of 30.9g of cocaine.
Martinez was later charged with 10 further offences including the supply of a total of nearly 78g of cocaine between November 1 and November 22 in transactions at Woongarrah and Tumbi Umbi.
He was also charged with possessing an unauthorised pistol, dealing with the proceeds of crime and possessing nine vials of testosterone.
