Weiqing Liu: Former Philip masseur faces 17 sex charges

A former massage therapist has been hit with fresh charges of sexual intercourse without consent after four more women complain to police.

A former masseur has been hit with four new sexual assault charges at ACT Magistrates court on Friday.

Weiqing Liu, 32, is now facing 17 sexual-related charges.

He was initially charged with two counts of sexual intercourse without consent but since his first appearance in October four more women have come forward with rape allegations against him.

Alongside the six charges of sexual intercourse without consent, Liu has also been charged with 11 counts of an act of indecency without consent.

Liu has pleaded not guilty to all charges.

He is on bail and will return to court in January next year.

ACT Police have alleged Liu offended between late 2019 until 15 October 2021 while he worked at Capital Health Centre of Traditional Chinese Medicine in Philip.

Police are still investigating alleged crimes committed by Liu and and urge victims to contact ACT Policing Operations on 131 444 quoting reference number 6936673.
