Tributes are flowing after a local man died when his car rolled into a ditch on a country road near Orange in the state’s central west.

A man has died after his car overturned in a ditch on a rural road in the state’s Central West on Thursday morning.

Emergency services rushed to Burrendong Way in Euchareena – around 30km north of Orange – after reports of a single-vehicle crash shortly after 7am on May 8, which was spotted by a passing motorist.

Police from the Orana-Mid Western District arrived at the scene to find a blue sedan overturned on the roadside which had rolled into a ditch.

Police stated that they “found a single male person behind the driving wheel who was deceased at the scene”.

Tributes have since flowed online for Rowdy Robinson, with one stating “Rip my brother rest easy miss ya bro” and another posting “Thinking of his family, rest easy Rowds.”

In a tragic twist, friends had thought Mr Robinson was missing, with a post made on Facebook asking for any information about his wheareabouts after he was unable to be contacted.

“My friend called me yesterday saying he was coming through to Wellington from Bathurst and was going to stop in but has not been seen or able to be contacted since 4:15 yesterday,” the post read.

“If anyone has seen him or his car or is travelling through that way please let us know, we are all worried sick.”

Officers have established a crime scene and launched an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the crash.

Motorists are urged to avoid the area while inquiries continue.
