Police have revealed more details of the male rider tragically killed in a deadly crash with a tree outside the ACT border, despite the best efforts of emergency services.

The victim of a horror motorcycle crash with a tree north of the ACT border has been revealed as a 57-year-old Higgins man.
Emergency services rushed to Sutton Rd in Sutton, near the Vaughan Dr intersection, about 1.15pm on Monday after receiving reports a motorcyclist had hit a tree.

Witnesses and paramedics desperately performed CPR on the rider however he sadly died at the scene.
The rider has been identified as a 57-year-old man from the ACT suburb of Higgins.
Sutton Rd was closed during the police investigations, but is now open to motorists.
Hume Police District officers have commenced inquiries into the circumstances surrounding the crash.

Any witnesses or those with dashcam footage were urged to call Goulburn Police or call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
A report will be prepared for the Coroner.
