Canberra: Police investigating reports of gunfire after shot up car found

Reports of gunshots ringing out and the discovery of a bullet hole-riddled car in the nation’s capital last week has sparked a police probe.

Reports of gunshots ringing out and the discovery of a bullet hole-riddled car in the nation’s capital last week has sparked a police probe.

The investigation comes after shots were allegedly heard near Osburn Dr, MacGregor, at about 4.10am on February 13.

No injuries were reported, according to ACT Policing. However, police say a vehicle parked in the area was found with multiple bullet holes.

Police have asked MacGregor residents with security cameras to review their footage in a bid to assist with the ongoing investigation.

They have also asked anyone with information to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
