At the ACT Supreme Court on Thursday, registrar Jayne Rees set a “tentative date” for the trial on June 6 next year in the same court.

Defence Lawyer Warwick Korn appeared via videolink and said his client was “logged in.”

Mr Lerhmann did not speak during Thursday’s hearing.

The court was told the trial would run for four weeks.

Police allege Mr Lehrmann had sexual intercourse without consent with Ms Higgins at Parliament House, Canberra on March 23, 2019, following Friday night drinks.

Ms Higgins said she “woke up mid-rape” after lying down on a couch at the Defence Minister’s office.

Mr Lehrmann pleaded not guilty to one count of sexual intercourse without consent in relation to the alleged 2019 incident when he first appeared in court in September.

The matter was adjourned for a directions hearing in December.
