Canberra police are investigating yet another suspected bikie-linked driveby shooting and firebombing in the city’s southern suburb.
The attack has left nearby residents in fear, but afraid to speak out against criminal elements.
The Kambah house, located on O’Halloran Cct, was also riddled with bullets, including what appeared to be a shotgun hole in a window beside the front door.
Twp heavily tattooed man inspecting the aftermath of the shooting and firebombing responded to The Canberra Star’s questions with: “f**k off, f**k off and don’t look back”.
When asked whether they had a message for the people responsible, the younger of the men said: “Yeah, they can f**k off too”.
A nearby resident, who asked not to be named, said she and her young family were terrified by the presence of criminal elements in an otherwise sleepy, working-class suburb.
“This shouldn’t be happening in a place like this, this, so close to the schools and parks, I walk past every day,” she said.
The mother of two school-aged children said the attack left contemplating whether she should move her family elsewhere.
The shooting is being investigated by the anti-bikie taskforce, Taskforce Nemesis.
Detectives believe the Kambah shooting could have been in retaliation for a shooting earlier this week in nearby Gordon, which saw a man taken to hospital and treated for a bullet wound to his arm.
