NewsLocal launches hyperlocal digital platform The Canberra Star

NewsLocal has officially launched The Canberra Star, bringing hyperlocal digital news content to the nation’s capital.

Introducing the Canberra Star

Today NewsLocal launches The Canberra Star, a hyperlocal digital news platform providing community news for the nation’s capital.

The Star will deliver news that matters to Canberrans living on both sides of the bridge, from Banks in the south to Taylor in the north as well as Civic in the city’s heart.

However, The Canberra Star will be different from other media outlets in Canberra.

It won’t live in the political bubble and will unashamedly only publish local stories that resonate with the people of Canberra about what’s happening in their community — not what’s happening in Parliament House.

The Canberra Star follows in the footsteps of NewsLocal’s other successful digital-only community websites: The St George Shire Standard, The Illawarra Star and Central Sydney.
