A Batemans Bay man with alleged links to the Canberra chapter of the Comanchero bikie gang fronted court for the first time charged with a December shooting.
Connor John Manns, 21, pleaded not guilty to charges of recklessly inflicting actual bodily harm, attempted wounding and failing to stop for police.
Manns has been behind bars since he was arrested on Christmas Eve, after his alleged victim showed up at Calvary Hospital emergency department with a gunshot wound to the thigh.
Police will allege the shooting was linked to outlaw bikie gangs.
The shooting was investigated by the ACT police anti-bikie squad, Taskforce Nemesis.
Manns will return to court in February and is also facing unrelated charges of failing to appear, possessing a prohibited substance and giving false or misleading information.
He has also pleaded guilty to those charges.
Manns, who is remanded in custody, was supported in court by two women who blew kisses and told him to take care of himself as he was taken down to the lockup.
The shooting remains under investigation.
Police have urged any members of the public with information to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
