Canberra police have been unable to track down a man who started swinging punches at a city nightclub last weekend, despite the whole attack being filmed on security cameras.
Police on Thursday afternoon publicly released footage from 88mph nightclub in Hobart Place, nearly a week after the brawl.
The snippet of heavily-edited video shows a man headbutting another man about 2.10am on Sunday, knocking him backwards.
The alleged victim then returns and fronts up to the alleged attacker, who begins swinging punches.
Investigators describe the alleged attacker as wearing a grey T-shirt and blue jeans, as being about 180cm tall.
He appears to have a chinstrap beard.
Police did not release any information about whether the men knew each other, or what prompted the confrontation, and a police spokesman declined to make further inquiries.
The police spokesman also declined to say whether the men who was struck suffered any injuries.
The man who swung the punches is believed to have left the nightclub shortly afterwards, and is believed to have walked towards the Melbourne building.
