BMX star Rhys Kember is fighting child grooming charges
A top BMX rider who has performed stunts for the Fast & the Furious movies allegedly asked a teen for a picture of her breasts.

Top Australian BMX star Rhys Kember is fighting a string of allegations involving children nearly a year after he was arrested.
Mr Kember, 33, was starring in TV ads for Nutrigrain, worked as a stuntman in the Fast & Furious movies and hoped to compete at the Tokyo Olympics when he was arrested last May.
In the ACT Magistrate’s Court on Friday, his lawyer indicated he would be pleading not guilty to a string of 10 charges.
Magistrate Glen Theakston commited the case to trial in the Surpreme Court.
Mr Kember has sinced moved to Queensland, and will likely face trial later this year or early 2022.
The charges include two counts of online sexual grooming of a person uner 16, two counts of online sexual procurement of a person under 16, and six counts related to child abuse material and child pornography.
Mr Kember has always maninted his innocence.
The child abuse material and child pornogaphy charges stem from a search of his phone and the courts have previously heard they relate to sexually comprising photos of teen girls, and the underage grooming and sexual procurement charges include an allegation Mr Kember offered to buy alcohol for a teen girl in exchange for oral sex.
A series of Instagram exchanges form the backbone of the police case, with police alleging Mr Kember asked an underage for girl for pictures of ‘boobs at least’ in exhance for alcohol.
Later, Mr Kember “encouraged (the girl) to give him “head” in exchanged for alcohol, police allege in documents previously tendered to court.
Police futher allege a 14-year-old girl messaged Mr Kember asking for alcohol for her school camp, saying “I’m not old enough to buy alcohol coz I’m only 14 and hanging out to get smashed at school camp lol”.
Later in the conversation, Mr Kember allegedly said “show me your boobs then”.
When the girl said she was at school, Mr Kember allegedly replied “you were just in the toilet, do it there”.
“You asked what I want, maybe you will get what you want,” Mr Kember is alleged to have said.
The case returns to court at a later date.
