His drug test returned an alleged positive reading to methamphetamine; the results of which will undergo further analysis.

Not long after, police say the Melbourne local made a run for it and fled the scene on foot.

The passenger, Mr Chen, allegedly became violent towards police officers and attempted to flee as well, though the northwest Sydney local’s struggle with the officers was short-lived and he was subsequently handcuffed and arrested.

A search of the SUV revealed a substance believed to be methylamphetamine, MDMA, a blank passport, passport photos (which documents tendered to the court state were to create false passports), six mobile phones, several credit cards suspected of being stolen and driver’s licences in various names.

Court documents state the meth totalled to 28.9 grams, and the MDMA was made up of one tablet.

According to police, the search also revealed cash (which police facts state was $1475), electronic scales, and more than 1kg of a crystal substance in a bottle which will undergo further analysis.

Everything was seized by police for further investigation.

More than an hour later, Mr Foo was caught walking along Dundoos Drive, Murrumbateman at about 1.45pm and arrested.

Both were taken to Yass Police Station.

Mr Foo was charged with six offences including taking part in supply of a prohibited drug, two counts of possessing identity information to commit etc indictable offence, goods in personal custody suspected of being stolen (not motor vehicle), resisting or hindering a police officer in the execution of duty, and, refusing or failing to submit an oral fluid test.
