A woman caught by police trying to make Christmas a different kind of cheerful with ice pipes, erectile dysfunction drugs, and meth deliveries in the Southern Highlands has pleaded guilty in court.

Tammy Lee Mundy, 47, sent a letter to Moss Vale Local Court on Tuesday to plead guilty to supplying an indictable quantity of a prohibited drug, possessing equipment for administering illegal drugs, and driving with drugs in her system.

The Marulan resident was driving a silver Mitsubishi Magna along Wombeyan Caves Rd through High Range on the evening of December 23 when she was stopped by police for a breath test.

According to the police facts, she returned a negative result for alcohol but a positive result for methamphetamine in her system. The facts state Mundy told police she’d recently consumed drugs and then handed them proof – a crumpled clear plastic bag with white crystalline powder inside.

The labourer told police the bag contained “a couple of points” of ice which she had for personal use. The facts show when prompted by police, Mundy produced another small bag with a larger amount of meth which she admitted was about “half a ball”.

The police facts state Mundy was using common terminology for drug weights, where ‘a ball’ refers to an eighth of an ounce or 3.5 grams.

According to the facts, a thorough search of the car uncovered three additional small plastic bags filled with meth. Mundy told police she’d picked up the three bags from Goulburn for her friends and was delivering them to High Range.

She told police she wasn’t delivering drugs to her friends out of the kindness of her heart, but in exchange for ice.

In total, Mundy had 16.8 grams of meth in her possession at the time of her arrest, as well as five glass ice pipes which she claimed were all hers.

“I was going to use them to smoke ice,” the court documents reveal she told police.

The documents tendered to the court show that wasn’t the end of the night’s discoveries.

Police were surprised to find six packets of an erectile dysfunction drugs in the boot of Mundy’s car, especially when she told officers the prescription drugs were hers.

When asked to produce the prescription needed to purchase the Sildenafil oral jelly, the facts show Mundy admitted she didn’t have one.

According to police, Mundy was busted only a month after she was charged with driving with drugs in her system through Berrima.

At 7.10pm on November 27, Mundy was driving a blue Holden Commodore along Old Hume Highway in Berrima when she was stopped by police for displaying a false licence plate.

When police conducted a roadside drug test, she returned a positive result for meth, which was confirmed by a secondary test at the police station.

According to the court documents, Mundy told police she’d smoked drugs at home the day before.

After entering guilty pleas to the three charges on Tuesday, a fourth charge of having custody of stolen goods was withdrawn.

She will return to the same court on April 5 for sentencing.
