During the dawn raid, police allege they uncovered methamphetamine, cannabis, electronic scales, $150 in cash, a mobile phone and an extendable baton (which is classified as a prohibited weapon).

Police allege Mr Allan earned the cash by running a drug premises from his Kirkham St house and supplying drugs on an ongoing basis.

From April 16 to the day of his arrest on July 8, police claim Mr Allan conducted 55 drug deals in the Moss Vale and Picton area.

The overwhelming majority of the charges relate to the alleged supply of methamphetamine over the three month period, although Mr Allan is also accused of peddling cocaine and cannabis.

According to police, Mr Allan was supplying drugs on an almost-daily basis and conducted a maximum of four deals in one day on a Tuesday in May.

On Monday, Moss Vale court heard lengthy negotiations between the defence and the Director of Public Prosecutions has resulted in an agreement. The court heard the DPP will withdraw 53 of the total 56 drug supply charges laid against Mr Allan.

Of the remaining three charges of supplying prohibited drugs, one is likely to be withdrawn when pleas are entered and two are marked as related charges to be taken into account as part of the alleged offending.

Similarly the charges of conducting a drug premises, dealing with the proceeds of a crime, possessing an illegal weapon and possessing drugs will be related charges.

The three charges of supplying drugs on an ongoing basis have been certified by the DPP to proceed to the next step.

Mr Allan has not entered any pleas to the remaining charges.

He has been refused bail and will remain in custody on remand at least until he returns to Moss Vale court on May 16.
