There has already been widespread local to international interest in a charming boutique hotel in Bowral that is well positioned to take advantage of an uptick in tourism.

Having previously hosted the likes of weddings, retreats, functions and more, the hotel – built in 1928 – holds great memories for many in the community, and beyond.

It is situated on 5321 sqm of land adjacent to the Bowral Golf Club and is a 90-minute-drive from Sydney.

The hotel features 17 guest rooms each with a unique design and decor, as well as substantial guest amenities including fine dining Ethos restaurant, a guest lounge with an open fireplace and extensive event facilities.

According to the CBRE Hotels spokeswoman, Links House has already “gained wide-ranging interest from local through to national interest, and even international enquiry.”

So far, the listing has attracted high net worth individuals and groups, as well as hospitality investors.

CBRE Hotels’ Associate Director Hayley Manvell said in a statement that she expected great interest in the unique listing.

“With opportunities to acquire accommodation assets in the prestigious and tightly held Bowral market rarely available, we expect the campaign to attract strong interest from a variety of buyer groups,” Ms Manvell said.

The company mentioned that a tourism resurgence in the Southern Highlands would greatly benefit the future buyer of the hotel, given that visitation to the region had increased by more than 50 per cent since 2014.

“Bowral is one of the most scenic and popular regional tourism destinations in the country and benefits significantly from its location at the geographic halfway point between Sydney and Canberra,” Ms Manvell said.

She also spoke of the diverse uses for the hotel.
